Age of Reason at The Boutique Gallery - Jaeger Regent Street

It's been an exciting week for Age of Reason, with the launch of The Boutique Gallery on Monday.  We're pleased to be part of it alongside Preen, Charlotte Taylor, Mawi, Orla Kiely and many more.

Housed on the 2nd Floor of Jaeger's Flagship London store, the space has been re-vamped into a new luxury shopping emporium complete with tea-room and panoramic views over Regent Street. Cuppa anyone?

 Bringing together the best of emerging and established British brands, The Boutique Gallery manages to be both stylish and thoughtful, offering everything from high end apparel and accessories to beautiful Taschen art books.

We also hear rumours about Tusting Bags in menswear, which we like a lot. We always carry our samples in a Tusting bag. We're also looking forward to seeing new jewellery pieces by Lara Bohinc.

We've given out a few early Christmas pressies to the great, the good and the downright fab. Today we received the loveliest thank-you from one of our heroines, Joanna Lumley who was given a scarf through Lady Caroline at Earl of Bedlam.  Joanna said she was "thrilled to bits" with her "creamy" scarf.  And we imagine she looks great in it too.

HOW TO WEAR THEM- WHISTLES REGAL DOLLS

There really are no rules when it comes to how to wear a Whistles Regal Doll scarf this Autumn Winter. But here's a few suggestions anyway.

Wear them with a light trench, wear them with muted wooly jumpers or coloured blazers. You'll find plenty of nude blazers out there that go brilliantly with them. 

 Try them casually round your neck, in a top knot-bow (like in CAPTURED below) , in a Jackie O under the chin knot, twisted as a bandana, in a bow on the side of your neck, as a belt over a dress and cardigan, as a cravat with a boyish shirt.

We're making gorgeous labels for our Whistles collection. Each label is lovingly stamped with a miniature version of the gold "Made in England" ship chop created for us by talented design agency Fred and Eric.

The ever-daring Whistles, home of cult fashion items such as the Carrie skirt,  have taken the plunge and will be stocking a range of our posh punk scarves from Sept.  The range designed especially for them along the lines of our Bondage Dolls collection, has a cheeky royal twist.  It will no doubt cause a stir in the palace.

START A PUNK PUG PHENOMENON!

Our giant Anarchy Dog, and Punk Pug scarves are now available at one of our favourite shops ever- Start London!  That rocks; we are over the moon!  Situated in the heart of Shoreditch, Start has long been our number one East London destination for fab rock'n roll fashion with a twist.

Our Anarchy Dog range fits the store like a glove. Inspired by city dwelling pug lovers like Start's very own Brix Smith, the scarves are playful punk statement pieces with sass.  Each of the three 140x140cm  Anrchy Dog squares features a different punk clad pug dog printed on a splatter painted union jack. They come in grey, red,  and bleached pink n' white- Jodie Harsh's favourite. 

Our long Punk Pug scarf, loved and worn by Alexis Knox on T4 Style the Nation, measures 2.5 long and is printed with all three moody pugs on a soft silver grey background. We've never seen anyone this colour doesn't suit.

Earl of Bedlam Launches Age of Reason Scarves in Style

We were most honoured to be part of the Earl of Bedlam's stunning launch party last night as they set sail on fashioable seas flying the Age of Reason flag alongside their amazing t-shirts and tailoring. 


By 8pm when we arrived the throng was buzzing with talk of the newly arrived, and spectacularly fun Mayor of Lambeth-  Councillor Christiana Valcarcel. The mayor gave a passionate, rousing, speech thanking The Earl for making their home in Lambeth. And without any further ado she cut the ribbon declaring the shop "OPEN!"  The party soon kicked off with some impressive vocals and piano playing from Mr Andrew Roachford of  Mike and the Mechanics. There followed much stomping and sing along into the night. We thoroughly enjoyed it. 




She shop currently stocks our 3 "Bondage Doll" scarves and our signature Union Jack scarf "Anarchy Jack".
